The Beauty of Truth: It Always Wins

What I love about truth is that no matter how hard it’s fought with lies, gossip, or evil doings ,it always wins.

I’ve lived through moments where my name was in conversations I wasn’t even part of. Times when people chose to believe what was said about me instead of coming to me. And I’ll be honest ,it hurt. It’s a different kind of pain when you know your heart, but others twist your story.

In one of those seasons, I remember praying, “God, please just let the truth be seen.” I wanted to defend myself, to speak up, to clear the air. But instead, I felt God whisper, “Be still. Let Me handle it.”

“The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.” – Exodus 14:14 (NIV)

That verse became my anchor. It reminded me that I didn’t have to chase rumors or fight every false word spoken against me. I just had to keep walking in integrity and trust that God would reveal what needed to be seen.

And over time, He did. Slowly, quietly, and in ways I never expected, truth started surfacing. People began to see what was real ,not because I defended myself, but because truth simply couldn’t stay hidden.

“For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open.” – Luke 8:17 (NIV)

But what I’ve noticed is that there are some people who would rather have something bad to say about you than good. People who would rather believe what they’ve heard than take the time to learn your truth. Sometimes it’s easier for others to accept a lie that fits their assumptions than the truth that challenges their perspective.

And if I’m being completely honest, this is still something I have to fight every day.

I still battle the urge to defend myself when I’m misunderstood. I still have moments when silence feels unfair and being still feels like weakness. And sometimes, I still wonder when the truth will finally speak louder than the lies.

Yet even in that struggle, God keeps reminding me, the truth doesn’t need my help to win.

That’s the thing about truth, it may take time, but it never fails. Lies can spread fast, but they don’t last. Gossip may echo for a while, but it always fades.

That’s why I always tell people: believe the truth about yourself. Don’t let the noise of others drown out what God has already spoken over you.

When you know who you are in Him, you stop seeking validation and start walking in confidence. You understand that your worth isn’t defined by opinions, but by the One who formed you.

“You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” – John 8:32 (NIV)

Truth frees you, not just from lies, but from the pressure to prove yourself. So even when it feels like you’re misunderstood, keep walking in grace, Keep your peace and let your life be your response.

Because at the end of the day, truth doesn’t need help winning, it always does.

Love always,

SJ
