SIS, YOU DESERVE BETTER....

I recently came across a quote that really resonated with me: "if you're in a relationship with someone who declares 'this is me, take it or leave it,' it's wise to choose the latter. Because anyone who refuses to compromise for you will expect you to sacrifice everything for them." This statement truly struck a chord within me! Throughout my life, I have encountered a few unpredictable individuals. Although I am not particularly old, I have dated people who made me feel as though I was asking for too much or that I was simply too much for them.

One guy even had the audacity to claim that I was too educated for him, or that my desire to keep my last name and hyphenate it with his was unacceptable, ultimately leading him to leave. There have been numerous occasions where I have settled for individuals who displayed clear warning signs. Therefore, I want to use this blog post as a reminder to all the wonderful ladies out there: we deserve so much better. Each and every one of you is invaluable and deserving of the utmost respect and love.

It is important to remember that a healthy relationship is built on compromise and mutual respect. If someone is unwilling to compromise or accept you for who you are, it is a clear indication that they are not the right person for you. It is easy to settle for someone who may not treat you the way you deserve to be treated, but it is important to remember that you are worth more than that. You deserve to be with someone who loves and accepts you for who you are, and who is willing to work with you to build a strong and healthy relationship.

So, if you find yourself in a relationship with someone who refuses to compromise or accept you for who you are, it is wise to choose the latter and move on. Remember, you deserve the best and nothing less.Compromise is an essential aspect of any healthy relationship. It involves both parties making concessions and finding common ground to ensure that both of their needs are met. This can be difficult at times, especially when there are conflicting opinions or desires, but it is crucial to the success of the relationship. Mutual respect is also vital in any healthy relationship. This means treating each other with kindness, empathy, and understanding. It involves valuing each other's opinions and feelings, even if they differ from your own.

It also means being honest and transparent with each other, and not resorting to manipulation or deceit. Unfortunately, not all relationships are healthy, and some people may be unwilling or unable to compromise or show mutual respect. This can lead to a toxic and unhealthy dynamic, where one person may feel undervalued or disrespected. In these situations, it is important to recognize that you deserve better and to take steps to end the relationship. It can be challenging to leave a relationship, especially if you have invested a lot of time and energy into it. However, it is important to remember that you deserve to be with someone who loves and accepts you for who you are. Settling for less than that can lead to unhappiness and dissatisfaction in the long run.

It is truly important to hold onto your faith and desires without compromising them for anyone else. The constant exposure to men who belittle and degrade women can be incredibly draining and exhausting. It feels like an endless battle, where every day brings new encounters with individuals who perpetuate harmful stereotypes and treat women as inferior beings. This fatigue stems from the emotional toll of constantly having to defend our worth and fight against the deeply ingrained misogyny that still exists in our society.

I want you to know that you are so much more than just a physical body and a brain. You are a unique and valuable individual with your own thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Your worth is not determined by your appearance or intelligence, but by the person you are inside. I hope you always remember that and never let anyone make you feel otherwise. You are special and deserving of love and respect just the way you are.

Sis, you deserve better!
