Security Blanket!?

What's today's Monday morning motivation?

I often wake up and wish there was a magic wand or a switch that I could just flip to make everything better or to erase some life events. I don’t know about you but uncertainties double my anxiety and life with its shock waves at times can really send me into a frenzy. As a woman of faith, most times I feel like I should be able to be ok when some things happen or know how to deal with them because of God. However, the reality is that we can never truly be ready for some of the things that will happen in our lives.

But what knowing God does is, when those things happen He becomes our security blanket! I say blanket because He really covers us and protects us from worse. What I mean by that is that while someone else who may have gone through the same thing may have gone mad, passed away, and so many other things, He continues to be that force and source to fight and be what we need. So there is a switch, but it’s not that of a magic eraser or a vanishing wand but it is a switch that puts off our human responses, actions and turns on God’s protection, peace, and healing.

Our prayer should be that we never forget who He is even when the circumstances we face make it difficult to remember and trust in Him. He is the same God who made the blind man see, the same God who made a way for His people, the same God who healed and continues to heal the sick and He will never change.

When life comes at you with all it has, cover yourself with your blanket!
