ROSES, CHOCOLATES, LOVE LETTERS, YOU NAME IT....

Surprised to see another post from us so soon? Well, here at LIW, we like to stick to traditions, and that includes releasing a blog every Valentine's Day. This time, we wanted to switch things up and make it a collaborative effort from all of us. So, this blog is not your usual one.

We all know that Valentine's Day is when people show the most affection, whether they're in a relationship or just friends. It shouldn't be that way, but it is. And we can't deny that some common things we see are roses, chocolates, and love letters. No hate here, but have you ever noticed the feelings people get when they receive these things on Valentine's Day? The smiles on their faces and the joy they express. Well, here's a little something sweet for you - our feelings to you and everything else in between. But before we dive in, let us ask you a quick question: have you ever been in love?

The kind of love that consumes your thoughts, fills your heart with warmth, and makes you feel like you're floating on cloud nine? It's a feeling that can't be put into words, yet it's something that we all long for.

Love is a universal language, transcending boundaries and bringing people together. It's a force that has the power to heal, to inspire, and to create magic in our lives. And on Valentine's Day, this magic is amplified, as people around the world express their love and affection for one another. But why is it that we reserve this outpouring of love for just one day? Shouldn't love be celebrated every day, in all its forms? Love between partners, love between friends, love for family, and most importantly, love for oneself.

Valentine's Day has become synonymous with roses, chocolates, and love letters. And while these gestures are undoubtedly sweet and romantic, they should not be confined to just one day. Well, we are back again with a familiar message from last year, reminding you that expressing love and appreciation should extend beyond Valentine's Day to the people who matter most to you. Love should be expressed and celebrated every day, in both big and small ways. So, let us take this opportunity to express our love and appreciation for you, dear reader. Whether we've known each other for years or we've just met through these words, we want you to know that you are valued and cherished. Your presence here, reading these lines, means the world to us.

Love is a complex emotion, and it's not always easy. It can bring immense joy, but it can also bring heartache and pain. It's a journey filled with ups and downs, twists and turns. But through it all, love is worth it. It's worth the vulnerability, the risks, and the uncertainties. So, as we celebrate Valentine's Day, let's not just focus on the material aspects of love. Let's remember that love is about connection, understanding, and compassion. It's about being there for one another, through thick and thin. And if you've never been in love, don't worry. Love will find you when the time is right. It may come in unexpected ways, from unexpected people. But when it does, embrace it with an open heart and an open mind. Love is a beautiful thing, and it deserves to be celebrated every day.

Last but not least, don't ever forget the reason why we cherish love - it all started with a man who loved us first. As mentioned in 1 John 4:19, "We love because He first loved us." God's love for us is unparalleled, and it is through His love that we are able to extend love to others. Keep nurturing that love and let it flourish within you. When we acknowledge that God loved us first, it reminds us of the depth and magnitude of love. God's love is unconditional, unwavering, and limitless. It is a love that knows no bounds and is always available to us, no matter our flaws or mistakes. This love is the foundation upon which all other forms of love are built. Love becomes a choice we make every day, a conscious decision to show kindness, compassion, and understanding to others.

Nurturing love requires effort and intentionality. It involves actively seeking opportunities to show love, whether through acts of service, words of affirmation, or simply being present for someone in need. Love requires us to put aside our own desires and ego, and to prioritize the well-being and happiness of others.

When we allow love to flourish within us, it becomes a guiding force in our lives. It shapes our decisions, influences our interactions, and transforms our perspective. Love has the power to heal wounds, bridge divides, and bring about reconciliation. It has the ability to bring joy, peace, and fulfillment to our lives and the lives of those we love.

So, let's make a promise to ourselves and to each other - to spread love, kindness, and compassion not just on Valentine's Day, but every day of the year. Cheers to a continuous flow of roses, chocolates, and love letters, bringing us endless smiles and joy each day.

Love always,

LIW Team
