Be it Love or Friendship

If flowers don't suffice

Let my words be enough.

While everything else may seem apart

May our connection last.

While we stride into the unknown

Reminiscing on memories

and flashbacks that we had

let it be known that this was true.

The laughter, the smiles, the ups and downs

the pains and trials we try to forget but

that's when we realized these things made us what we are.

There is no love without hurdles

no friendship without hardships

no commitment without trust.

There are times when we question Loyalty

Question the what-ifs and the whatnots,

and the countless misfortunes that we're scared of.

These moments served, as a reminder that all we needed was the love we gave and all we'll ever need is that love.

Often times we dreamt of glamour and finer things but I'm so glad we never lose sight of what we have or hope to be.

The moments we wish to forget what we want and remember what we deserve,

What is worth fighting for and how many fights we have left within

To muster up the courage to face this head-on.

I'm here for you and you for me

Hand in hand and side by side
