A YEAR LATER: A NEW BEGINING

Exactly one year ago, on June 6, 2024, I posted the first entry of my Loss Series, not knowing it would be the last post I’d write for an entire year. And now, here I am June 6, 2025 writing my first blog in a long time.

The past year has been filled with nothing short of God’s blessings. I’ve witnessed His goodness and mercy following me every step of the way, and my love for Jesus has deepened in ways I never expected. So much has happened in that time, and I can’t wait to share it all with you.

First off, I married the man of my dreams. We moved into our first home together, and now we’re fully leaning into God’s plan for our lives. The wedding planning and the move were intense, but after it was all over, I took a moment to reflect: how could I return to using my gift, my ministry, like I did before?

But then I realized something: nothing is like it was before. Instead of trying to go back to the old ways, I asked myself, “How can I elevate my craft? What can I do to reconnect with this ministry in the season I’m in now?”

Over the past year, I may have lost some subscribers, followers, and supporters but I’ve learned to trust in God’s timing and His plan. I know that, in His perfect timing, everything will fall into place.

Some of you might be tired of seeing me disappear, then return, only to disappear again, I get it. But I’m making a commitment today, no promises, but a plan. If life requires me to step away for a bit, the Life in Writing (LIW) community will remain active. I have an incredible team of people behind the scenes who are ready to step forward. We also have some exciting things coming, people who are ready to share their testimonies and stories. We’re creating a space for everyone to connect and share in their own way.

As I continue to grow in my walk with God, I’m learning that life is not about perfection it’s about progress. And in this season, I’m choosing to trust, to let go of the pressure to “do it all” and instead focus on the work He’s called me to. We all go through seasons of change, and I’m excited to see where this next chapter leads.

I’m not sure exactly what the future holds for Life in writing, but I do know this: the journey will be worth it. I pray that as I share my experiences with you, you too will feel encouraged, inspired, and reminded that God’s hand is always at work in our lives whether we see it immediately or not.

Thank you for your patience, your support, and your understanding. I know that with God leading the way, we’ll continue to grow, share, and learn together.

So, here’s to the next chapter. I’m ready.

Let’s walk this journey together.
